Is there a co-worker you’ve become close friends with? Are there certain aspects of your role you do enjoy? Your attitude follows your thoughts, so try to stay focused on the positive.

REWARD YOURSELF.

When you have something to look forward to at the end of each day or each week, it will make the time go by faster. Whether it’s a Friday night dinner with friends or a workout that helps reduce stress, having events to get excited about and look forward to can make the work week more enjoyable.

MAINTAIN GOOD HEALTH.

If you’re unhappy at work, it’s easy to go down the path of eating too much junk food, drinking too much alcohol, staying up late and sleeping in. However, this will simply make you feel worse. Instead, try to be healthy through a balanced diet, plenty of sleep and regular exercise.

TALK TO YOUR BOSS.

If you don’t like your job, perhaps a change in environment will help. For instance, these days, telecommuting has become the norm. Do you have a job where you can work from home? Would telecommuting enhance your enjoyment of work? If so, talk to your boss about changing your work schedule and arrangement, so you can find out if they’re open to a change.
